Four beautiful, Cow Parsley plaster cast plaques mounted on light or dark wood, they are sold individually.
Cow Parsley is one of my favourite wild plants & there are so many different varieties. These plaques were cast in late summer & are made by pressing real Cow Parsley into clay to create an impression, removing them, putting a frame round & pouring plaster over. When the plaster is set the clay is peeled away to reveal the beautiful, detailed, raised impression. The life of plants & flowers can be short, the process of casting captures a moment in time & preserves them to be enjoyed long after the real ones have faded away.
There is a small hole in the back of the wood for hanging the plaques on a wall, or they can simply be displayed on a shelf. The plaque without wood has no hole in the back. Anyone who loves plants, flowers, gardening & nature will appreciate this as a gift that they can treasure forever.
Made from:
Very hard plaster, but only suitable for indoor use. Avoid rooms with lots of condensation. Do not handle too much as plaster is porus & will absorb oil from your skin. The wood is Ash.
