I like using A-symmetry within my work, adding space and taking space away whilst maintaining an aesthetic balance within the form. Taking elements seen as being from specific disciplines - stitching and fabric, and using them with alternative mediums - stitching and wood, using seemingly valueless objects like pebbles from the beach, embedding in them a sense of time and place and value.
