At last I have got round to putting together a Botanical Plaster Casting Kit, this is a superior kit to others on the market. I have 10 years of experience in making beautiful Flower Casts that are sold all over the world & can share my experience & knowledge with you. The kit can easily be used on your own, by following the detailed instructions. If you get stuck you can always contact me for help.
Refills of the Clay, Plaster & additional wooden frames (in any size) are also available to order
The kit includes:-
1. 900g of highest grade casting plaster. This will make 3 casts using the 12x12cm frame if 1.5 cm thick
2. Buff clay - this is what I use for my casts & it can be reused over & over again. I would not advise using air dry clay, as supplied in some other kits, as the texture is fibrous, does not pick up anything like the same amount of detail & can only be used a few times until it dries out.
3. Handmade wooden frame for casting 12 x 12cm (4 3/4 x 4 3/4 inches) plaques.
4. 2 x Wooden leveling sticks – to ensure the clay is level when rolling out.
5. Petroleum Jelly and brush – to grease the frame
6. Wooden mixing stick
6. Sandpaper – to smooth edges of the cast when dry

Equipment you will need to provide
Digital weighing scales - or ones capable of measuring small quantities very accurately.
Plastic mixing cups – 1 pint size. Or you can line a bowl with a plastic bag, this just makes disposing of residue plaster easy, it cannot be poured down sinks or drains.
Jug of cold water
Spoon to measure out the dry plaster
Rolling pin
Tweezers – to remove any plant material left in the clay before casting
Plastic to protect work surface, you will also need a level surface to work on.
Screwdriver with a cross head – to undo screws in the frame when plaster is set
Old soft toothbrush / artist brush / small decorating brush – to clean the cast when set.
Disposable paper cloths to wipe up
Plastic gloves to protect hands
Mask to avoid breathing in plaster dust
IMPORTANT INFORMATION PLEASE READ
This kit is designed for use by adults, if children are using it they must be supervised at all times
If you get plaster on your skin remove immediately with a wet paper cloth, then wash as normal.
I would advise removing rings & bracelets before using this kit
Protect your clothes with an apron or other method.

Delivery Information
The kit comes in a strong cardboard postal box 32 x 22 x 5cm, you will need to sign for this when delivered. It is a heavy box because of the contents postage & packing is included in the cost.
